Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy
Last Updated: February 2026
Magical Records respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. It is our policy to terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe or are believed to be repeatedly infringing the copyrights of others.
1. Zero Tolerance Policy
We have a strict Zero Tolerance Policy against copyright infringement. You must only upload content (audio, lyrics, and artwork) that you created or have the legal permission to use. Sampling other songs without a valid mechanical or master license is strictly prohibited.
2. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you are a copyright owner (or an authorized agent) and believe that any content distributed through Magical Records infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a formal notification via email to support@magicalrecords.in with the following details:
- Your legal name and contact information.
- A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
- The URL or ISRC code of the infringing content on our platform or digital stores.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
3. Consequences of Infringement
If an artist is found to be uploading stolen, unauthorized, or copyrighted music:
- The infringing releases will be taken down from all DSPs immediately.
- Any accrued or pending royalties will be frozen and permanently forfeited.
- The user's Magical Records distribution account will be permanently banned.
- We may share the user's details with legal authorities or the original copyright holder if required by law or judicial orders.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or false claim, you may send a counter-notification to us explaining why you own the rights to the content. We will review your proof (such as raw project files, audio stems, or contract licenses) and may restore the content if the claim is valid.
5. Disclaimer
Magical Records acts solely as a digital distribution intermediary. We verify releases to the best of our ability but are not liable for the independent actions of our users. We comply fully with the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) and the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
