Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: February 2026
At Magical Records, we strive to provide the best distribution services for independent artists. However, due to the nature of digital distribution and our automated content delivery systems, we maintain a strict No Refund Policy.
1. All Sales Are Final
Since our services (Music Distribution, Plan Upgrades, and Label Services) involve immediate digital execution, server space allocation, and manual quality control review processes, we do not offer refunds once a payment has been successfully processed.
This applies to:
- Premium Upgrades: Annual plan fees for Pro Unlimited Artist or Record Label Empire.
- Single, EP & Album individual distribution fees (where applicable).
- Marketing, PR, or Playlist Pitching campaigns.
2. Account Cancellation & Downgrades
Since our premium packages are based on a One-Time Annual Payment model, there are no automatic recurring monthly subscription charges to cancel. If you decide to stop using Magical Records, you may leave your account dormant or request account deletion via support.
- No Partial Refunds: Under no circumstances will the one-time upgrade fee be refunded or prorated if you decide to stop using the platform during your subscription term.
3. Content Takedowns & The 1-Year Lock
As per our Digital Music Distribution Agreement, all successfully distributed content is subject to a mandatory 1-year content lock period. You cannot request a catalog takedown or removal during this timeframe.
After the 1-year period expires, if you choose to take down (remove) your music from the DSPs, no initial upgrade fees or service charges will be refunded. The fees paid cover the initial ingestion processing and delivery work, which cannot be reversed.
4. Violations, Fraud & Breach of Contract
If your account is terminated, disabled, or banned due to a violation of our Terms of Service or Distribution Agreement, you forfeit all rights to any refund, and all pending royalties will be permanently blocked.
Violations include, but are not limited to:
- Uploading stolen, copyrighted, or unauthorized music tracks.
- Engaging in artificial streaming, botting, or streaming fraud.
- Breach of Content Lock: Attempting to transfer, re-upload, or release a duplicate copy of a locked song through another distributor within the 1-year lock period.
5. Billing Errors
The only exception to this strict No Refund policy is if a proven technical error occurred on our payment gateway's end, such as:
- Being charged twice for the exact same transaction (Duplicate Charge).
In such cases, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction at support@magicalrecords.in with your payment receipt, and we will issue a full refund for the duplicate amount.
